Dan Orlovsky Says 1 Player’s Talent Is Being Wasted With Jets

The New York Jets remain winless at 0-6, and frustration is mounting for star receiver Garrett Wilson.

The Jets fell 13-11 to the Denver Broncos in a game marked by sluggish offensive execution and questionable play-calling decisions.

Wilson left the contest with a knee injury and is scheduled for an MRI, though early indications suggest it’s not related to his ACL.

Beyond the injury concern, the bigger issue remains how Wilson’s exceptional talent is being utilized within an offense that continues to struggle to find any consistent rhythm.

Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky didn’t hold back following the loss.

“Garrett Wilson is being wasted in NY. His talent is dying there,” Orlovsky wrote on X.

The frustration reached a visible peak in the closing moments of the first half. New York had possession with seconds remaining, and most expected at least a deep shot downfield.

Instead, first-year offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand called for a running play.

Quarterback Justin Fields glanced toward the sideline as time expired, ending the half with just six points on the board.

Wilson approached head coach Aaron Glenn immediately after, clearly upset about how the situation unfolded.

When reporters asked Wilson about the exchange with Glenn, he kept his response measured but didn’t hide his disappointment.

“I just didn’t know exactly what the plan was,” Wilson told reporters. “Once I figured it out, I was disappointed.”

Wilson has established himself as one of the league’s premier receivers since arriving from Ohio State.

He’s posted three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before turning 26, rewriting portions of the Jets’ franchise record book along the way.

That production earned him a four-year extension worth $130 million in 2025, cementing his place among the league’s elite at his position.

Despite his individual brilliance, the Jets have failed to translate that success into wins.

Analyst Reveals Packers’ Key To Win Against Bengals

The Green Bay Packers entered Week 6 in must-win mode.

Sportsbooks had them as 14.5-point favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals, and considering the Packers were coming off their bye, it was the perfect opportunity for them to blow out a struggling team.

The Packers did come away with the win, but it wasn’t in as dominant a fashion as fans would have hoped.

The final score was 27-18, which doesn’t seem like it was a large enough beating for a team like the Packers, which took down the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders in convincing wins to start the year.

While the Packers seem to have their fair share of issues at the moment, analyst Wendell Ferreira noted on X one area in which the Packers excel, which should be encouraging.

“Jordan Love’s mobility was key to the Packers’ win. Scrambles, moving the pocket to create extra time. Despite the INT, Love was really, really good. If you don’t want to see it, the problem is not Love,” Ferreira said.

Ferreira noted how well Jordan Love played in this one, an indication that he’s still the player that Packers fans expected him to be.

He not only got it done through the air, throwing for 259 yards and a touchdown, but was able to scramble for meaningful amounts when he needed to, running seven times for 26 yards.

The Packers’ problem doesn’t seem to be with their quarterback, as Ferreira tried to point out.

If their offensive line doesn’t start picking it up, and their defense doesn’t stay as dominant as they were in the first two weeks of the season, this team’s struggles will likely continue.

Matt LaFleur Had Notable Coaching Feat With Sunday’s Win

It might not have looked pretty, but the Green Bay Packers came away from Week 6 with a win, which was the most important thing.

Sportsbooks had fans believing that this would be a blowout, but the Cincinnati Bengals held their own, keeping the game close throughout.

While it might not have been the dominant win people wanted to see, it was a win nonetheless, and a historic one, at that, for Matt LaFleur.

As reporter Aaron Nagler pointed out on X, this was the 70th win for LaFleur, the fastest coach to 70 wins among active coaches.

“Today’s win was the 70th regular-season victory of Matt LaFleur’s career. LaFleur becomes the fastest to 70 regular-season wins among current NFL head coaches, per the Elias Sports Bureau,” Nagler posted on X.

LaFleur has had to deal with a lot in his first few seasons with the team, including a significant amount of Aaron Rodgers drama, but he has been able to work through it and keep this organization on the right track.

Jordan Love and his teammates have responded well to LaFleur’s leadership to this point, and if they keep growing and developing under him, the ceiling for this team is limitless.

Of course, the Packers need to start getting healthier if they want to make a deep playoff run, as a few of their key players are still sidelined.

The sooner they can get them back, the sooner LaFleur can work with the best possible roster that puts this team in a prime position to succeed.

It will be interesting to see how the Packers look over the next few weeks, as they have relatively easy matchups on paper, but if the Bengals proved anything, it’s that there is no such thing as an easy win in this league.

Jets Made Unfortunate Franchise History In Loss To Broncos

The New York Jets and Denver Broncos met Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, a venue that has featured offensive showcases since hosting its first NFL game in 2019.

This matchup broke that trend entirely, as Denver escaped with a 13-11 victory in one of the ugliest offensive performances in recent memory.

The game’s decisive sequence unfolded late in the fourth quarter when the Broncos’ defense sacked Jets quarterback Justin Fields on fourth-and-8 with under 90 seconds remaining.

That play sealed Denver’s win while cementing a historically dismal showing by New York’s offense.

“The Jets’ -10 net Pass YDS is the worst in a game in Jets history, and worst by any team in 27 YEARS.” ESPN Insights shared on X.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn addressed the struggles directly after the game, calling the passing attack “nonexistent.”

He emphasized that improvement must come quickly, acknowledging that Denver’s relentless pass rush created severe problems for his offense throughout the afternoon.

Fields completed just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards while absorbing nine sacks that cost the Jets 55 yards.

According to USA TODAY, this represents only the second time in franchise history that New York has finished with negative passing yards.

The first instance came on December 21, 1975, against the Dallas Cowboys when the team recorded minus-1 yard through the air.

The last NFL team to post negative passing yards was ironically the New York Giants, who threw for minus-9 yards against the Jets in Week 8 of 2023.

The Jets travel to Carolina next week looking to avoid another offensive disaster and get their passing game functional again.

Former Executive Sends Blunt Message To Jets Coach

The New York Jets fell to 0-6 after a dismal 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos in London on Sunday.

The offense struggled throughout the afternoon, managing just 82 total yards and an unfathomable -10 net passing yards.

That mark represents the lowest in franchise history and the worst league-wide performance since the San Diego Chargers posted -19 yards in 1998.

Following the loss, ESPN’s Rich Cimini shared a blunt assessment from a former Jets executive that captured the mounting frustration.

“The offensive coordinator has to swim home,” the former executive said in a text message.

Offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, brought in during an offseason restructuring, has watched his unit struggle to establish any consistency.

Quarterback Justin Fields endured relentless pressure behind a porous offensive line that surrendered nine sacks.

He completed just nine of 17 attempts for 45 yards, with his longest completion traveling only 11 yards.

The Jets generated a mere 32 total yards by halftime as Denver’s defense dominated from the opening snap.

New York’s points came exclusively from field goals and a safety, with the offense failing to reach the end zone.

Star receiver Garrett Wilson’s visible frustration during a mismanaged two-minute drill before halftime reflected the broader dysfunction plaguing the unit.

This marked the second time this season Fields failed to surpass 100 passing yards.

In Week 2 against Buffalo, he completed three of 11 attempts for 27 yards before leaving with a concussion in the fourth quarter.

The continued inability to generate any aerial attack raises serious questions about his development and the offensive system’s effectiveness.

With another season unraveling before November arrives, the Jets face mounting pressure to find solutions quickly.

Insider Reveals Concerning Stat About Justin Fields
LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 12: Justin Fields of New York Jets runs out prior to the NFL 2025 game between Denver Broncos and New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 12, 2025 in London, England.

The New York Jets fell to 0-6 with a 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos in London, becoming the NFL’s only winless team.

Neither offense found much success, but the Jets’ struggles reached historic lows in a performance that highlighted deeper issues.

Quarterback Justin Fields completed just nine of 17 passes for 45 yards while being sacked nine times for 55 lost yards.

The sacks alone erased nearly all the yardage the offense managed to gain throughout the game. The loss marked troubling territory for Fields and the franchise.

Insider Rich Cimini pointed out a particularly grim statistic that underscored just how dire the situation has become for New York’s passing game.

“Justin Fields: 2nd consecutive game sacked 5+ times; he’s the first Jets QB to be sacked 5 or more times in consecutive games since Luke Falk in 2019 (WK 3 at NE & WK 5 at PHI),” Cimini posted on X.

The Jets finished with negative-10 net passing yards, marking the lowest single-game passing total in franchise history.

That figure also represents the fewest net passing yards recorded across the NFL in nearly three decades.

Producing negative offensive yardage is exceptionally rare, yet the Jets continue setting unwelcome records as the season spirals further out of control.

Despite the struggles, head coach Aaron Glenn ruled out making a quarterback change.

He emphasized that the team’s problems extend beyond Fields and that multiple players share responsibility for the current state of the offense.

Glenn made it clear that singling out the quarterback would be unfair, given how collective the failures have been across the roster.

Moving forward, the Jets need contributions from numerous players to reverse course and avoid further embarrassment as they search for their first win.

Packers Linked To 3 DT Prospects In 2026 Draft
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN - APRIL 24: President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers Mark Murphy speaks during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field on April 24, 2025 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Packers‘ offense is absolutely stacked.

And while all good things can get better, chances are they won’t use that many resources on that side of the field in the offseason.

Other than maybe adding more depth to the offensive line, they should be all set in that regard.

The defense, however, could be a different story.

They have plenty of talent on that side of the ball as well, but they could certainly use more help in the defensive tackle department, more specifically at nose tackle.

With that in mind, Bleacher Report’s NFL Draft Scouting Department linked them to three unranked defensive tackle prospects: Florida State’s Darrell Jackson Jr., Georgia’s Christen Miller, and Iowa State’s Domonique Orange:

“While defensive tackle has been discussed previously for the Packers, the focus there was on the position as a whole. Here, we’ll take a look at three nose tackles to replace what the defense lost this offseason with the departures of Kenny Clark and T.J. Slaton. Jackson and Miller would be great fits in Jeff Hafley’s defense since both can line up as a shade nose and are very impressive run defenders. Meanwhile, Orange primarily plays as a 0-technique at Iowa State, but shouldn’t have many issues sliding over a touch if need be in Green Bay,” per BR NFL Draft Scouting Dept.

The Packers won’t have a first-round pick in 2026 because of the Micah Parsons trade.

Even so, despite their slow start to the season, they’re still projected to be one of the last – if not the last – teams standing in the league this season.

Considering that, they will have to dig deep into the talent pool to find the players they need to bolster their already-stacked roster.

The Packers’ defense underperformed for way too long before Jeff Hafley took the reins as defensive coordinator last season.

And with Hafley already being a way-too-early candidate for the next head coaching cycle, GM Brian Gutekunst will have to make sure that whoever takes the reins of that unit has all the players and resources he needs to succeed.

Julian Edelman Reveals Honest Thoughts About AFC South

For years, the AFC South has been one of the bottom-feeding divisions in the National Football League.

Finally, that might no longer be the case.

At least, that’s how Julian Edelman feels.

When asked about them, the former Super Bowl champion gushed about this division’s newfound competitiveness:

“Suddenly, the AFC South is a tough division. The Jags are 4-1 right now. Then you look at the Colts, also 4-1. They’ve been a competent quarterback away for the last few years. The Texans, 2-3. I look forward to them going into this bye week and take advantage of that. Then, you got the Tennessee Titans. Look, they’re on the board. Cam Ward is competing his you-know-what off,” Edelman said.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard something about this.

Two years ago, it seemed that this division was on the rise, but both C.J. Stroud and Trevor Lawrence failed to take a leap.

Now, however, things might be different.

Liam Coen has brought life back to the Jaguars’ offense, and they have plenty of young talent to build their game around.

Lawrence has still failed to live up to the expectations, but the talent is there.

Houston, on the other hand, has probably the best defense in all of football.

They need to give Stroud some sort of protection, as while he’s failed to get better, he hasn’t been in a position to succeed either.

The Colts are looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender right now, and that’s a big testament to Shane Steichen as a head coach and offensive playcaller.

Watching Daniel Jones dominate also speaks volumes about how bad the New York Giants and Anthony Richardson were.

Last but not least, the Tennessee Titans are still multiple pieces away from contention, and they may not have the right head coach.

That being said, Cam Ward looks like an interesting project and, more importantly, a born leader.

Stefon Diggs Had Kind Gesture For Key Patriots Unit

The New England Patriots are finally trending in the right direction.

New head coach Mike Vrabel is rebuilding the franchise’s winning culture after years of underperformance.

Of course, adding talent to the team has also had a big impact, but it takes much more than that to help a team win.

That’s why veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs has also decided to step up as a leader.

According to a recent report, the former Minnesota Vikings star had a nice gesture with his offensive linemen:

“The weekly dinner that Patriots’ offensive linemen have each Thursday had a new twist to it last week, as receiver Stefon Diggs had his personal chef cook for the group. They all gathered at center Garrett Bradbury’s house,” per Mike Reiss

This is a nice turn of events, all things considered.

For most of his career, Diggs has been a troublemaker in all of his previous stops, and while his competitive fire has never been in doubt, his demeanor and maturity have often been a subject of conversation.

It’s nice to see that Diggs is finally stepping up as the veteran the team needs him to be, much more so after some off-the-field controversies before the start of the season.

The Patriots brought him in slowly as he worked his way back from a season-ending injury, but he had his biggest game of the season in the win over the Buffalo Bills.

He looks more comfortable in the offense now, and he should be Drake Maye’s preferred target throughout the course of the season.

Things haven’t ended well for Diggs in his previous stops.

Hopefully, this will be the exception to the rule, as he can be the catalyst this young team needs.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Gets Honest About Chemistry With Sam Darnold

The Seattle Seahawks overhauled their offense in the offseason.

Not only did they ship starting quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders and replace him with Sam Darnold, but they also tore their wide receivers room apart.

Moving on from D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett was the end of an era at Lumen Field, but it was a testament to the confidence they had in Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Fast forward to today, and it’s more than evident that it paid off.

The Ohio State product is playing the best football of his career, and while he clearly deserves all the credit in the world for the way he’s playing, he also knows that his quarterback has played a big part in his success.

With that in mind, he opened up about his chemistry with Darnold:

“Just the hard work that we put in the spring, in the summertime just coming to fruition. It’s awesome to see the fruit of our labor, and we just want to take it to the next level. The connection with me and Sam [Darnold], just throw it up and I’m going to go get it,” Smith-Njigba said.

So far, Smith-Njigba has turned 43 targets into 34 receptions for a whopping 534 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

He’s averaging a career-best 15.7 yards per reception, 12.4 yards per target (league-best), and 106.8 receiving yards per game.

More impressively, he’s been an entirely different and much more complete pass-catcher this season.

Usually known for making the most of his damage in the slot, he’s actually been more of a factor lining up out wide this season.

Smith-Njigba has gotten better every year he’s been in the league.

And now that Darnold has finally figured things out and is playing like a star, this connection could be one of the best in the game for many more years to come.
