CJ Gardner-Johnson Makes Bold Prediction About Eagles

CJ Gardner-Johnson’s standing with Philadelphia Eagles fans has shifted dramatically.

The defensive back enjoyed two productive stints with the team, both culminating in Super Bowl appearances and one championship.

His departure to the Houston Texans this offseason marked the beginning of a war of words with his former organization.

The 27-year-old safety has made no effort to hide his feelings about Philadelphia since the trade.

His latest comments have taken aim directly at the reigning Super Bowl champions.

“CJ Gardner-Johnson says the Eagles will NOT win another Super Bowl without him on the team: ‘The Eagles probably won’t see a ring without me. Y’all saw what happened when I left. I’m popping now, I’m glad I’m in Texas,’” Dov Kleiman shared.

Gardner-Johnson’s track record with Philadelphia tells a compelling story.

He first arrived in 2022 and led the NFL with six interceptions during that season.

After a brief stint with the Detroit Lions, he returned to the Eagles last year and delivered another strong performance.

His second tenure produced 59 tackles, six interceptions, one forced fumble, and 12 pass deflections across 16 games.

Those numbers reinforced his value as a playmaker in the secondary.

The timing of his bold proclamation raises questions about motivation versus legacy.

Philadelphia fans typically embrace players who contribute to championship runs.

Gardner-Johnson had the foundation to become a franchise favorite given his production during crucial seasons.

His decision to publicly challenge the Eagles’ future success without him suggests unresolved issues from his departure.

While that competitive fire may fuel his performance in Houston, it could overshadow his actual contributions when his career gets evaluated.

Travis Kelce Has Reportedly Made Notable Physique Change

The Kansas City Chiefs and veteran tight end Travis Kelce are moving forward together for another season.

Retirement speculation dominated the offseason, but Kelce decided to return for 2025.

What happens after that remains a question mark.

The 2024 season didn’t showcase Kelce’s typical dominance.

Numbers dipped across the board, and the veteran recognized that changes were needed.

This offseason brought a dramatic physical transformation that could reshape his approach to the game.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported on “SportsCenter” Saturday that Kelce has dropped significant weight during the break.

“He will debut a bit of a slimmer look. He’s told people close to him that he’s lost about 25 pounds this offseason,” Fowler said. “He played a little heavier in 2024, that was sort of a thing. He vowed to change it, and he has.”

The timing makes sense for a player approaching 36 in October.

Conditioning becomes crucial as careers wind down, and staying healthy takes priority.

Kelce remains a central piece of Patrick Mahomes’ offensive attack when available.

Last season presented mixed results for the future Hall of Famer.

He recorded 97 receptions, matching the fourth-highest total of his career.

However, his 823 yards marked the lowest output since 2014.

The three touchdowns represented his fewest since 2016.

The Chiefs continued utilizing Kelce heavily, but his efficiency dropped compared to previous seasons.

The red zone production that defined his peak years wasn’t as consistent.

Kelce missed the team’s recent OTAs but should appear for mandatory minicamp next week.

Kansas City will see the leaner version of its star tight end for the first time.

The physical transformation signals a serious commitment to bouncing back from a down year.

This revamped approach might provide exactly what the Chiefs need as they chase another championship.

Kelce’s career has been built on adapting and evolving, and this latest change continues that pattern.

LeSean McCoy Makes His Thoughts Clear About Patrick Mahomes

The Kansas City Chiefs enter the 2025 season with championship aspirations following a disappointing Super Bowl LIX defeat.

Patrick Mahomes and his teammates carry the weight of that loss, using it as fuel for what they hope will be a redemption campaign.

Last season presented statistical challenges for Mahomes, who recorded career lows with 26 touchdowns and 3,928 passing yards across 16 games.

Despite these numbers, the Chiefs quarterback maintained his elite status, earning the No. 4 spot in Chris Simms’ recent quarterback rankings.

That ranking sparked strong reactions from NFL analysts, particularly former running back LeSean McCoy during a segment on FS1’s The Facility.

“This is crazy. Yes, I think Patrick Mahomes is clearly better than all the other quarterbacks. When we talk about elite quarterbacks. You’re not comparing yourself with nobody else but Patrick Mahomes. I think it’s super disrespectful. He is clearly the best quarterback and the best player in this league,” McCoy said.

McCoy viewed the fourth-place ranking as more than a questionable analysis.

He considered it outright disrespectful to the three-time Super Bowl champion.

The former Philadelphia Eagles standout acknowledged that talent discussions might include names like Josh Allen, creating room for legitimate debate about pure physical abilities.

Performance under pressure tells a different story entirely.

McCoy emphasized how Mahomes has never finished worse than an AFC Championship appearance since becoming Kansas City’s starter.

Even during his statistical down seasons, Mahomes continues to outperform other quarterbacks during their peak moments.

The Chiefs’ quarterback thrives in hostile environments, winning crucial games without home-field advantage when expectations work against him.

McCoy highlighted this clutch factor as the separator between Mahomes and his contemporaries.

While other signal-callers may deliver impressive individual performances, Mahomes consistently commands the biggest stages when championships hang in the balance.

Keon Coleman’s Basketball Video Is Going Viral

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman turned heads over the weekend at Damar Hamlin’s celebrity basketball game, delivering a performance that had fans questioning whether he chose the wrong sport.

The second-year NFL player showcased skills that extended far beyond the football field, reminding everyone of his basketball roots at Michigan State before transferring to Florida State to focus on football.

Coleman dominated the hardwood with an explosive 60-point performance that quickly went viral across social media.

“Insane: Bills star WR Keon Coleman could easily play in the NBA,” Dov Kleiman wrote. “Coleman dropped 60 PTS in a celebrity game this weekend.”

The performance featured everything from smooth step-back three-pointers to ankle-breaking crossovers and thunderous dunks that energized the crowd.

Coleman’s display had spectators and online fans alike suggesting he possessed legitimate NBA-level talent, with many wondering what could have been if he had pursued basketball professionally.

“Better at SG than WR,” one fan noted, while another added context about his basketball background: “Y’all really don’t know about him. He was playing for Tom Izzo before he transferred and focused on football.”

Playing alongside Hamlin and offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, Coleman made it clear he was the superior basketball talent among his Buffalo Bills teammates.

His 60-point explosion stood out even in a celebrity format, where defense tends to be optional and scoring comes easier than in competitive games.

As the Buffalo Bills prepare for the upcoming season, Coleman returns to football with added confidence and momentum from his basketball showcase.

His weekend performance certainly gave Bills fans something extra to get excited about while potentially attracting new admirers who witnessed his basketball clinic.

Wild Stat Emerges About Saquon Barkley’s 2024 Season

Saquon Barkley delivered a performance in 2024 that rewrote the record books while leading the Philadelphia Eagles to championship glory.

Barkley rushed for 2,000 yards and earned AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors, establishing himself among the league’s elite talents.

His 13 rushing touchdowns represented a career high, but the numbers tell an even more fascinating story.

“Eagles superstar RB Saquon Barkley was tackled at the 1-yard line 11 TIMES this past season. Saquon could’ve had 24 touchdowns,” Dov Kleiman noted.

The league-leading total of goal-line stops cost Barkley multiple scoring opportunities throughout the season.

Nine different drives featured situations where Barkley was denied at the doorstep, with two goal line stalls occurring on the same series.

These 11 critical plays resulted in seven Jalen Hurts rushing touchdowns, one Hurts passing touchdown, and a field goal.

Despite missing those chances, Barkley secured his career-best touchdown total while anchoring the Eagles’ offense.

His 2,000 rushing yards complemented a Super Bowl championship and the highest running back contract in the league.

Adding even half of those goal-line opportunities would have pushed Barkley toward historic touchdown numbers.

The missed chances highlight both his dominance and the Eagles’ offensive depth near the end zone.

Barkley’s goal-line struggles stood out league-wide.

Only five other players reached eight tackles at the one-yard line during 2024.

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner, Carolina Panthers back Chuba Hubbard, Detroit Lions runner David Montgomery, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Bucky Irving, and Washington Commanders veteran Brian Robinson all tied for second place.

The upcoming season presents opportunities for adjustment.

Philadelphia’s coaching staff will likely review red zone usage patterns, potentially giving Barkley more touches in short-yardage situations.

If that shift occurs, 20 touchdowns becomes a realistic target rather than speculation.

Falcons Rookie’s Custom Chain Is Going Viral
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN - APRIL 24: A general view of the stage during the Atlanta Falcons pick during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft at Lambeau Field on April 24, 2025 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Atlanta Falcons may have only made five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they made the most of it and went all in on improving the defense, using a pair of first-round picks on edge rushers out of the SEC in Jalon Walker out of Georgia and James Pearce Jr. out of Tennessee.

Atlanta then used its next two picks on defense as well, but it’s an undrafted member of said defense who went viral this week for something that has nothing to do with football.

Undrafted defensive back Cobee Bryant signed a three-year deal with the Falcons for $3 million after going undrafted out of Kansas.

A recent video on X featured him showing off a new chain that cost over $100,000 and features a large pendant comprised of half of his face and the other half of a hawk.

Considering that about half of his total $3 million in earnings will go to taxes, spending six figures on a chain is certainly a decision.

Nevertheless, it shows that he has confidence in himself and his earning ability, and it will be interesting to see if he can carve out a consistent role for himself on this defense to get to a second contract.

Bryant had a strong four-year career at Kansas, collecting 13 interceptions and 22 pass deflections.

Even though Atlanta’s defense wasn’t great last season, there is solid depth at cornerback in place with A.J. Terrell, Dee Alford, and Mike Hughes penciled in as starters.

Bryant has his work cut out for him, but having to pay for this chain should be all the motivation he needs.

Texans Veteran Makes Big Prediction About His Season
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - SEPTEMBER 10: A Houston Texans helmet sits on the sideline during the Texans and Baltimore Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium on September 10, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Houston Texans made a big gamble in the offseason.

Their offensive line was utterly disappointing last season, and trading Laremy Tunsil won’t do much to help their case.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans argued that everybody would have to step up and claimed that they would shake things up to bounce back after a dismal campaign.

Notably, that includes moving Tytus Howard to right guard.

Howard has primarily played left guard and right tackle in the past, so while he’s showcased positional versatility and impressive adaptability in the past, this is still a major challenge.

Even so, he’s looking forward to it:

“The more you can do .. I’m a guy who can play at every spot on the offensive line. I can play at a high level at every spot. I just gotta keep working and continue to get better. I feel like this year is gonna be my biggest year,” Howard said.

Shaq Mason didn’t look the part last season, and Juice Scruggs wasn’t much better, either.

The Texans signed veteran running back Nick Chubb, and establishing the run with him and Joe Mixon will be crucial to help C.J. Stroud bounce back after a worrisome second-year regression.

As things stand now, it seems like Cam Robinson will start at left tackle, with Laken Tomlinson by his side at left guard.

Jake Andrews will get the nod at center, with Howard by his side at right guard and second-year pro Blake Fisher at right tackle.

The bar won’t be that high after giving up 52 sacks in the regular season.

But after watching the Kansas City Chiefs get to Stroud a whopping eight times in the playoffs, it was painfully evident that something needed to change, and this unit will be under a lot of pressure this season.

Insider Names ‘Clear-Cut Favorite’ For Jets’ WR2 Job

The New York Jets are kicking the tires on a new era.

There will be a new quarterback and a new offense.

As such, some positions might be up for grabs.

Garrett Wilson will continue to be the undisputed WR1 and alpha pass-catcher, but there are still some questions about the rest of the offense.

According to ESPN insider Rich Cimini, former Detroit Lions WR Josh Reynolds is the early favorite to be the WR2 right now.

Moreover, that also opens the door for Allen Lazard to be on the move at some point:

“Josh Reynolds is the clear-cut favorite for the WR2 job, ahead of Allen Lazard, whose name will continue to circulate in trade rumors now that Rodgers has landed with the Steelers. If the Jets decide to move Lazard — a big if — it probably wouldn’t be until the end of the preseason. But only if they’re comfortable with their receiver depth,” Cimini wrote.

Lazard joined the Jets when they traded for Aaron Rodgers.

However, he hasn’t made much of an impact whenever the future Hall of Famer hasn’t been his quarterback.

Notably, now that Rodgers isn’t there, it wouldn’t even be a surprise to see the Pittsburgh Steelers trade for him, especially given their evident shortage of talent at wide receiver.

The Jets are building their offense around Justin Fields, which is a first for him since he entered the league.

This will most likely be his final opportunity to prove that he can be a star and a starter at the pro level.

And while he’s never been known for being the most accurate and proficient passer, developing a strong chemistry with his wideouts will be of the utmost importance.

The Jets might not have a star-studded wide receivers corps, but they could have a more balanced offense with a dynamic quarterback now behind center.

Stat Shows How T.J. Watt Has Dominated In Past 5 Seasons
BALTIMORE, MD - JANUARY 11: T.J. Watt #90 of the Pittsburgh Steelers reacts after a play against the Baltimore Ravens during the first half of the AFC Wild Card Playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium on January 11, 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best pass rushers in the game.

T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett have gone back and forth for that distinction year in and year out, and most people will agree that they rank No. 1 and No. 2, regardless of the order.

Watt’s numbers are mesmerizing, especially considering that he’s missed some time with injuries.

That was evident again in a graphic shared by FOX Sports: NFL on X, which pointed out that Watt sits atop the entire league with the most sacks in the past five seasons.

He’s logged a whopping 73.5 sacks in 74 games, 1.5 more than Garrett despite playing six fewer games.

Then again, context also matters.

Garrett often deals with double and triple teams, whereas the Steelers’ stacked defense often gives Watt a wide-open look at the opposing quarterback.

Even so, Watt’s instincts, raw power, and athleticism also help his case.

There were rumors about the Steelers considering trading their superstar OLB this offseason.

Still, just like what happened with Garrett and the Cleveland Browns, teams often refuse to move on from their future Hall of Famers.

While he hasn’t won a championship, Watt might go down as the greatest defensive player in Steelers history, and that’s a lot to say, given their rich history of elite stoppers.

Lane Johnson Says He’s Getting Close To His ‘Peak’ Despite His Age

Death, taxes, and Lane Johnson excelling for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite being among the oldest starting offensive tackles in the National Football League, the 35-year-old veteran is not slowing down.

If anything, he believes he’s at the peak of his powers:

“Now, I feel like even though I’m 35, I feel better than I was when I started (or when I was) 29 or 30,” Johnson said. “I had the (ankle) surgeries and so for me the toughest year was ’21 and you can go back and watch it, you can clearly see on film, I was very hindered with my left foot. And now, I feel like I’m getting close to maybe my peak. As weird as it is to say, but that’s truly how I feel.”

Johnson will now be the second-oldest offensive tackle in Eagles history, trailing only Jason Peters, his former teammate.

He’s also logged the fifth-most starts in franchise history (173, including postseason).

Only Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce have played more games for the Eagles while never suiting up for another organization.

Kelce started 205 games, so Johnson will need to stay healthy and on the field this season and the next one to pass his legendary running mate.

Johnson seems to be aging like a fine wine.

He’s earned All-Pro selections in four years in a row, and he’s also a six-time Pro Bowler.

He’s also coming off being the oldest Pro Bowl RT since Jackie Slater got the nod at 36 years old in 1990.

Johnson has already done more than enough to be a Hall of Famer.

He’s one of the greatest and most consistent offensive linemen of his generation, and he has a strong case for being the greatest right tackle in Eagles history.

Now, with the Eagles entering the season as the team to beat and a strong Super Bowl contender, he has an opportunity to add even more hardware and accolades to his already stacked résumé.

Despite being 35 already, it looks like he could legitimately play until he’s 40.
