Andy Reid Gives Discouraging Injury Update On Chiefs Defender

The injury bug has come after the Kansas City Chiefs in the preseason, again.
This time, it cost them one of their safeties.
As reported by JPA Football, head coach Andy Reid just confirmed that Deon Bush is expected to miss the entire season after tearing his left Achilles tendon.

Bush sustained the injury in Saturday night’s preseason opener vs. the Arizona Cardinals.
He tried to change directions and accelerate when his leg got stuck and he fell with a non-contact injury.
Patrick Mahomes and coach Reid rushed to the field to console him, and he later had to be carted off the field and put a towel over his head to cope with such an emotional moment and big blow.
Bush has been in the league for nine years now.
He was pushing to make the Chiefs’ 53-man roster, and Coach Reid claimed that he was doing an outstanding job in camp.
While he’s been with the Chiefs since 2022 and has helped them win a couple of Super Bowls, he wasn’t considered a lock to make the roster this time, and this injury may have sealed his fate.
The Chiefs are looking to get back on track after sustaining a heartbreaking blowout loss in the Super Bowl.
As such, there will be no margin for error or wiggle room for doubt.
And with Steve Spagnuolo having one of the most stacked defenses in the game, they’ll be quick to move on and take a ‘next man up’ approach.
