Matt LaFleur Had Notable Coaching Feat With Sunday’s Win

It might not have looked pretty, but the Green Bay Packers came away from Week 6 with a win, which was the most important thing.
Sportsbooks had fans believing that this would be a blowout, but the Cincinnati Bengals held their own, keeping the game close throughout.
While it might not have been the dominant win people wanted to see, it was a win nonetheless, and a historic one, at that, for Matt LaFleur.
As reporter Aaron Nagler pointed out on X, this was the 70th win for LaFleur, the fastest coach to 70 wins among active coaches.
“Today’s win was the 70th regular-season victory of Matt LaFleur’s career. LaFleur becomes the fastest to 70 regular-season wins among current NFL head coaches, per the Elias Sports Bureau,” Nagler posted on X.

LaFleur has had to deal with a lot in his first few seasons with the team, including a significant amount of Aaron Rodgers drama, but he has been able to work through it and keep this organization on the right track.
Jordan Love and his teammates have responded well to LaFleur’s leadership to this point, and if they keep growing and developing under him, the ceiling for this team is limitless.
Of course, the Packers need to start getting healthier if they want to make a deep playoff run, as a few of their key players are still sidelined.
The sooner they can get them back, the sooner LaFleur can work with the best possible roster that puts this team in a prime position to succeed.
It will be interesting to see how the Packers look over the next few weeks, as they have relatively easy matchups on paper, but if the Bengals proved anything, it’s that there is no such thing as an easy win in this league.
