The Kansas City Chiefs are stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Andy Reid’s team has no margin for error after falling to 5-5 and dropping consecutive games.

With the Denver Broncos running away with the AFC West division, the Chiefs will have to close out the season on a hot streak to make the playoffs. If you were to ask Gerald McCoy, that’s what’s about to happen.

Talking on the NFL Network, the former player predicted that the Chiefs are about to go on a run. In fact, he thinks they’re going to close out the regular season with seven consecutive wins:

“They have the Colts today, so I’m going to take that as a win. Dallas is up and down—I’m going to take Kansas City on that one. We’ve seen how great [Texans’] defense is, but I’m going to take Kansas City at home. Chargers haven’t really traveled that great, so I’m gonna go Kansas City wins again. Tennessee, Kansas City win again. They want a little get back against Denver, I’m gonna go Kansas City again. They’re playing the Raiders, the Chiefs are going to win out, and they are going to the playoffs—winning out the rest of the season,” McCoy said.

Needless to say, that will be way easier said than done. For starters, they will have to get past a tough Indianapolis Colts team that is coming off a bye week and has had more than enough time to get ready for this game. Then, they will have several divisional matchups, and those are usually a toss-up.

Then again, we also have to acknowledge that the Chiefs are more than used to being in a playoff-like setting. They will approach every single game like the Super Bowl from now on, and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the league.

They know this might be the end of the line for the dynasty. And even though their record doesn’t show that, they will still be the last team anybody will want to face, especially in the final stretch of the regular season.
